How could a product only be sold for a week? It's ridiculous. Why even bother? Why tease the consumers? This actually makes me not want to buy Doritos any more.
That said, I got some Doritos today. They had BBQ rib flavour, which I've never seen before.
These taste familiar. They might be the same as the honey glazed rib flavoured crisps in the Collisions.
Are they any good? No. These might be the worst Doritos I've ever had. But if you were to combine them with somme lemon flavoured Doritos, you'd have something. You'd have a unique snacking experience. You'd have a balance of flavours.
They're just throwing money away. They could make a fortune on Collisions. Why aren't they doing it?
It's the same with taco flavour Doritos. They were sold in the US for a brief period in the 80s and people still talk about them. Why isn't Doritos bringing them back? Did they lose the recipe? They sort of brought them back for a limited time in the early 2000s as Taco Bell flavour but they weren't the same.
Oh, apparently taco Doritos are back, or at least were as of August 2017. Only in the US. Come in a retro 80s bag.
Yeah. Seems that they're already gone. All of the "buy online" links on the Frito Lay website are broken.
The store locator suggests that there are none in the Chicago area but a few places in California. They all seem to be like convenience stores so you know the price is jacked up. Nothing in the Boston area either.
It's just ridiculous. What a way to run a business.
