Just when I thought I had narrowed it down to a couple of choices of new lifts, I hear of a main dealer closing down and 4 lifts up for grabs.

Aparently they are two 2 post lifts which are 2 years old and two 4 post lifts which are 4 years old.. all used with light duty, all serviced every 6 months since new. Also their lift maintainanace company is prepared to remove them and install them in my new place and certify them for about £150 per lift.

Now I have the dilema..

1. Buy new big brand name lifts (hoffman OMA etc)and hope that due to the big name brand, they will last longer.

2. Buy new but cheap (SD lift) for half the price of a hoffman and expect it to need replacing in half the time.

3. Or buy these 4 used ones, spend between half and a third of the amount of cash and take a risk.

Grrr... Its never easy is it?
