Hi Paul, I bought the joules kit a few years ago, With this kit, you need to snip 2 or 3 legs off the chip, ( large chip with something like 56 pins ) we have tried it a few times and have never managed to read a code from it, But we have alway's managed by either reading the code by looking at the worn buttons on the keypad, ( 90 % ) and trying various codes, or Reading or resetting the ecu, Funny thing is that if you ring joules and ask them what something does, i,e, If we reprogramme the ecu, will it run without an immobiliser, They don't know as they don't work on vehicles, ? The problem is that just reading the Code is not alway's what you need, as sometimes you know the code but the car won't start. so it may have a faulty keypad or wiring or ecu, So in a case like that you need to be able to either diasarm the immobiliser or replace the faulty components, The joules kit does help, but it doesn't alway's give you the option that you need as all the programming is preset and it does what they want it to do. ( not alway's what you want it to do ). I don't think that the Seeprog will work on those types of chips unless you can get some sort of adapter. ? H.T.H. and the other thing is that the keypad immobiliser seems to be few and far between nowaday's. ?
