I`ve just got to sound off about this one
. I`m buying a garage with MOT bay, which means jumping through all the hoops that VOSA places in my way.Updating equipment, doing MOT managers course, getting all the plans, references etc required. I can`t be authorised until I prove ownership, which means when the sale goes through. Their "seamless transfer" in theory means current owner finishing one day, then the sale being completed and the new owner starting the next day. Now I`ve been told that it just goes in the pile and it will get done in the week following sale, and that VOSA say they have more important things to do than new MOT authorisations. I`m putting my house on the line to secure the borrowing for this business, so it`s pretty bloody important to me, and it`s pretty important that I don`t upset my customers in the first week of my takeover. It just seems there is little consideration from VOSA for the people who make their MOT system work. Sorry for the long whinge, I`ll stop now
.Any cunning plans or advice welcome!
