Try stopping your plumber as he drives by and ask him to just fit a washer in your tap, your electrician to change a fuse, a carpenter to plane the top off a door and see if they do it for nothing!!

Or really just about any other skilled trade for that matter. I can't think where else this happens apart from the motor trade.
