What a performance! I too deal direct with AXA, renewal is on the 9th, rep turns up yesterday, the 5th, with renewal doc's. To be fair premium was close to last years when extra cover is taken into account.. but still £600 more than competition. It only took a few minutes paper shuffling and calculator prodding to beat competition(just a little) and improve cover slightly. They definatly do this late thing deliberatly, it must greatly reduce the chance of us changing to another company. It's fine if we are sharp and prepare, but sometimes it gets forgotten when we are busy with day to day hassles. I am told insurance companies are obliged by law to provide renewal terms 21 days prior. I don't know what regulation to quote to get it done. I suppose the bottom line is that we must represent a good risk and therefore they are prepared to fight for our business which in turn should keep premiums down. Thanks to everyone for thier input.
