So you want a higher page ranking?.......lets assume that you mean Google In other words when someone types in key words you want your site to be on the first page. Well in my experience its all about Meta Tags and Page Content You have to decide on how you want people in your area to find your site I have found the best way is to put your KEY words in the "Title" of your web page and the META "Description" also the page content is important to include all the KEY words. In my opinion Google tends to pass over META "Keywords" As an example: Its all about GOOD site descriptions and GOOD descriptive content, after all you want customers to find you........they dont want to come to your site and find a link to Tesco or Esso oil.......its YOU they want info about, the more the better, Google will reward you for it Page Ranking is for the big boys, with over a billion webpages, you could spend the rest of your life trying to improve it.... Two weeks ago i joined the "Good Garage Scheme", i incorporated this into the Title, META Description and Page Content, Google will come along every week and re-index web pages. So now if you type "Good Garage Scheme" into Google i am placed 6th on the first page (AFS Redhill), i have picked up 3 new customers in the last week, they all said they typed in Good Garage Scheme with the local post code
