Unfortunately this is an all too common story, the idea of licensing techs is good and something should be done but what i am not sure nor is anyone for that fact all manners of schemes have been suggested and nothing secured. If and when it does happen who is going to pay for the checking to be done to see that you are what you are and can do what the label says? For insatnce the new regs coming out about the use of refrigerants who is going to come round and check that we are qualified or will it be a case of wait until someone complains or an accident happens.
I know a environment agency approved ELV site not far from me with no a/c degas equipmnent.

I am a Bosch Car Service Centre and as far as i can see at the moment they have got it fairly right with the mystery shop and phone calls as well as the annual audit just to keep us on our toes but even then it has gone wrong in parts of the country sadly.
