Just found out that Sita who collect our general garage waste have increased their monthly fees by 33%. According to the note they sent me they are claiming it on increased Landfill Tax, disposal, operating costs and reduced recyclable material values.

We were paying £34.80+VAT a month for each large wheelie bin/skip per site. Its now £46.11+VAT.

I reckon fuel is cheaper than it was, wage costs are lower (plenty of companies have requested 10% pay cuts from employees), we already recycle all our stuff so the only factor that I reckon that might have gone up is the Landfill Tax....but 33%?

We're based in Macclesfield, Cheshire. I'm guess they're can't be many national waste companies so I'm guessing its a case of hunting around for another local company to use.
