After 22 years doing this, I have a routine that works for me. Being mobile, I book in my first appointment for about mid-day because where I live (out in the sticks and at the bottom of a hill) I have to wait for the country road to become passable after tractors and the like have used it. I do not book in a 5 0'clock appointment to ensure I do not get caught out in plummeting temperatures. Finally, I try to prioritise my appointments, ie non-starts etc and leave the routine stuff for next week. No big problems yet, but it is daunting trying to conduct diagnostics in the snow. Worst is attending a non-start up some-ones drive, parked the "wrong-way" round with 2 other cars behind it - in 2 feet of snow! Roll on summer.
