Hi all.

Well, after 6 years I've decided to sleep with the enemy! I've just started work for a Jeep/Chrysler/Dodge dealership! (also a Chevy dealership and soon, apparently, to be a Fiat Dealership too!!)

I finally got sick of everyone from internet advertisers to the Inland Revenue doing all they could to see me shut down. I hate to let my regular cutomers down but then again, these are the same customers who kept being tempted away by various 'Free MOT with £75 sevice' offers before being fleeced and coming back to me.

I've Still kept my public liab/motor insurance and I'm carrying on with diagnostic/auto-electrical work but from now on someone else can worry about all the admin/advertising/part ordering/warranty claims/legislation b###ocks that goes with running a garage!

I'll try to post anything useful I find out as time goes by (like my post in the 'diesel' section tonight) and I'm sure I'll still need the support that UKAT has been giving me over the years.

One interesting point - NO-ONE at my new employers seems to have heard of Motor Codes!! Even though they're listed as members!!!

Go figure!!
