I have just had 800 lts collected for FREE (OSS Group ltd), by a tanker that had "Non Hazardous" on the back (Non Hazardous hence no transfer fee)
Have the Government re-classified it?, I would say waste oil is VERY Hazardous
Or could the real reason be that the waste companies collect for free, process and sell on as cheap heating fuel for such things as "Hospitals"
The Government saves a shed load of money, and the poor garage owner has to install an expensive alternative system, yet another TAX imposed on the small business man
The Trade Bodies need to get on the case ASAP
