I wonder how many will stick to the rules
legislation over vehicle manufacturers meeting the current EU Emissions regs.
It states that any vehicle manufacturer / supplier who are from any of the EU Member states must replace any HD combustion engine which has not reached 50% of the manufacturers stated lifespan of an engine regardless of age excluding any installation costs. So if Citroen state the 2.2 HDi 120 bhp engine lifespan is say 100 000 miles. Then if an engine fails having completed less than 50 000 miles then Citroen are obliged to replace the failed engine for a like for like engine FOC regardless of time having elapsed from new.
