I'm sure many of you are 'in the know' about this and have probably already leant your support, but for those who aren't then the EU has commissioned an independent survey to investigate how 'compliant' VMs are proving to be when it comes to 'easy' access to their technical information.
The commission is urging independent UK technicians to fill out an online questionnaire which details your own experiences when trying to access technical information/updates from VM sites. This will then be used (if needed) to assist the commission with deciding whether the current legislation needs refining to bring VMs into line to ensure that they are compliant in the future.
Although I'm as sceptical as most when it comes to whether your input will really have much of an impact on the overall result, it takes about 15-20 minutes to fill out and could make a difference.
The cut off point for replies to the survey is the end of May so if you get a spare moment then sit down with a cup of tea and fill it out as ultimately it could help to safeguard the future of the industry.
