Case in point.....
Fitted a ADL blueprint oxygen sensor to a Honda Civic but only to find they don't run bias voltage like the OEM unit.
Same on Toyotas.
Had many EGR valves returned due to poo poo build quailty.
Try a FuelParts Air mass meter on a BMW Uh Oh! Still have performance loss & chasing other reasons for the symptom only to find when you replace it with a OEM unit hey presto you fix the fault.
Time & time again i fall into this trap maybe in the vain hope that all these aftermarket manufactures Hass, FuelParts, ADL, Lucas ETC. ETC. ETC. to name a few will somehow better these parts in quality control but to no avail.
This has been going on for years & i cannot see how they ever sell any of these types of parts & the returns they get must be out of this world.
The scary thing now is vehilces are now coming with intelligent battery ECMs that need to know the make & Ah of the battery fitted.
OOOOO WEEEEEEE are we in for some hard times ahead.
So now i have stuck a post it note on my forehead that says "OEM OEM OEM OEM OEM"
