Hi a new customer has a 2011 mondeo with peugeot hdi engine in and every now and then engine bay smells hot but temp gauge reading is fine, have noticed bottom hose isnt getting hot at all and rad fan is running alot.
A previous garage replaced thermostat housing but still the same.
i am wondering if waterpump impellor is faulty and slipping on shaft so water not cerculating properly at times, wonder if anyone else come across this fault ??
