There is one company in the UK that supplies VRM lookup data to all companies that require a VRM lookup system, they even clean up and amend data for DVLA

All the vehicle data is available, it's just how many sections of it that a company requires or wants to pay for, the more vehicle data the higher the cost

I have had this a few times on our own garage invoicing system where it does not give me an engine code to be able to pinpoint a correct filter etc, but our own Workshop Data does

It may be that the extra bit of engine code data is missing from the Autodata database list (same as my garage system). It's nothing to do with the 3rd party vehicle data supplier, it's an Autodata issue despite what they fob you off with
