I've now found you dont need outside companies to do this work its all the unknowing whats happening with DVSA you can do it all in house just keep records in an organised way. Its all a bit like the old days I think its going backwards keep all you calibration records in order do QC as normal but keep hard copies of when where and how and what vehicle and test number. And do your annual training with your other testers or if your an only tester do it with someone from another garage tester. Weve sat down with ( got 3 of us who test)each other set out an itinerary read testers manual we also watched a DVD then just did Q&A.
Then done assessment together. Easy.
I spoke to a DVSA Examiner who said he's got a massive area to cover that he is like a policeman now any problems the hear about or are called in they check you out etc.Get the first year out of the way and it will all be clear.DVSA reckon only 30% of testers have taken the assessment so come March £!st i bet the system crashes.LOL Its all the unknowing
