Will probably happen to many more dealerships. Many vehicles you can now configure online and purchase, also people going for leasing, contract hire (delivered to your door) I have a large Vauxhall Dealership near me that has been on that site for 40 years. They now only have a 2 bay workshop and they do not sell spare parts All my Vauxhall parts come from another company that is just a Vauxhall parts hub (like TPS) Ford are now going down that route with Ford Parts Direct as well A Government think tank want to ban Diesel and Petrol vehicles by 2030 and not 2040 ![]() ![]() Cannot see that happening until the end of the century, no one really likes them, no one wants to invest in charge points. As for autonomous vehicles, well they better have a pretty good POTHOLE avoidance system built in.....we are all going to need OFF Road vehicles soon to cope Peter |
