    The dealer will say no,get the customer to phone Ford Customer Care. They will say take it to your nearest dealer which you will have to do, they will say yes the cambelt is broken. The customer then phones Fords back and gives them the story about "if this is what Fords are like he is never buying another, his families are thinking about Fords but this has made them think again" and with any luck they will cover the majority of the costs but they won't do it through an independant. This worked for me on a Fiesta 125 with a seized engine at 60,000, well out of warranty.If they turn you down then you will just have to tow it back, but you tried. Hope this helps.
