All Discovery's are constant four wheel drive.
I have always fitted new tyres to the front on too many land rover products to mention , & never had a problem.
I remember when directional tyres came out. "Only fit in sets of 4". Then it was "Only fit to rear axle, if 2 are fitted". But quite often you see just one fitted.
I read the post below, with interest, but still fit to the front.
