My son recently completed his 'Modern Apprenticeship' It has been a complete, utter and total waste of his and my time. I fully agree with your comments and will certainly not be sending any other lad to college until things change substantially for the better. After speaking to an electrical contracter friend, it seems that the course for electricians is not much better. Dave F's comments really struck a chord with me; I'm tearing my hair out searching for competent, not even talented staff. It's becoming so bad that I'm thinking about jacking in a business that never has less than a weeks lead time - can't do it all myself... Oh well, another sunny Sunday in the office ;-(
