    Hi

Someone in the USA calculated that the cost of the raw materials, ie. sheet steel etc., in $3,000 Snap-On box is about $100.
Like Training shoes costing over £100, made for about £5, they are a fashion item. If Snap-On can get the ticket price, I say good luck to them.
In our local free ads paper there is hardly a week when there isn't a Snap-on box for sale at a fraction of the retail price.
If I were re-eqipping my shop from scratch, I would be looking at Dura, or one of the made to measure cabinet systems. At the Autosport exhibiton last year, the cost of their cabinetry per square metre was far less than any of the makers of large roll cabs.
In fairness I've never had any problems claiming from Snap-On under warranty. In fact the way I've seen some of my guys abuse tools and still make a successful claim, I think they are very reasonable.
