My thinking on this is that you have to give the customer something to keep them sweet. On the other hand, if you dont charge anything, then they assume you are in the wrong, and know it but wont admit it. I would charge a small amount and explain that you are giving then a big discount on the labour as there was nothing wrong. This shows respect on your part but also commands respect.
