For good customers I'd agree that you have to swallow the charge. However, for irregular customers, I alwas pre-advise that a charge may be incurred if a subsequent/unrelated fault has coincedentally occured. Now, this is a situation worthy of the services of an international diplomat!
It falls into a similar catergory of "...since you replaced my wiper blades, the car has started burning oil, and it has developed a misfire...".
I call these knuckle biters, as thats what I have to do whilst taking this type of phone call. I do this to stop the rage inspired mouth, out accelerating the brain.
