i think im with alan on this one, you have got to charge him even if its tea money for your own sanity.
i m mobile purely doing diagnostics, and i got fed up of people thinking if there is no fault found on the car, how can i charge them, so i changed policy to a call out that included the first hour, worked a treat.
i think the home appliance boys got it sussed years ago with call out charges, now people know if they call one out he will charge.
a good saying i heard was" would you work an hour for no reward? if so my garden needs weeding!!"
