    Hi all,
Thanks for all your replies, like Michael and James I'm a mobile mechanic, I do servicing and general repairs but specialise mainly in diagnostics. I know in this game you have to look after your customers and try very hard not to upset any of them but this particular guy is ultra fussy and almost every time I do something for him he has to call me back over some trivial noise or slight vibration he thinks he can feel and I guess I was just getting a bit fed up with it. While I was checking this out yesterday morning I missed another two possible jobs which could have been a few bobsworth, it wasn't just a matter of driving the car to see what he was going on about, I had to completely strip down the rear brakes which as you know means taking off the rear calipers, drums/discs to check the handbrake shoes then reassembling and adjusting in all about an hour and a half plus about three quarters of an hour travelling time and the guy doesn't even say thank you, let alone do I owe you anything? Anyway, as Paul says, sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and accept that this sort of thing is going to happen now and then.
Wish I could win the lottery or find some other way to earn a decent crust--nah you know you love it, fixing cars, the best job in the world!!
    Cheers,
    Derek
