mark not 100% on this but i think you can claim back the vat because you will be putting it on the business, but remember that you will have to charge vat on it when you sell it. if you was buying a commercial vehcile eg L200 you can claim back the vat, and then charge vat on the sale. one more thing if you were selling at + vat then your market would be smaller as it would make the vehcile dearer.If you bought a commercial vehicle with no vat then it is sold with no vat.
