    Hi Peter

When the idea of the UKAT Expo was originally concieved the idea was that the members were to have a seminar after the daytime event. With this in mind, expecting there to be some form of meeting followed by an overnight stay the idea was that if the event was held on a Friday members if they wished could turn up just for the seminar on Friday evening and would then just loose a Saturday morning.

It was mentioned to me yesterday by someone who shall remain nameless and who has visited many shows in his line of work (finance) that he had never been to a successful weekday daytime show except the ATS. I am happy to report that at the end of the day he had changed his mind.

The only other alternative would have possibly been to make it a two day event (Friday/Saturday) as from my past experience there are two schools of thought, people who are happy to visit a weekend event and people who do not wish to give up their weekends. Given the fact that it was the first time I had attempted anything like this I did not quite have the confidence to spend more of Andrews money and double the cost. As it turned out it may have been worthwhile, but then hindsight is a marvellous thing.

    Regards
