Hi all,
Well, what can I say?
It was great to meet you all. It is a pity that there were a few members there who never met up, but thereÂ’s always next time. The day went very well and was extremely entertaining. From my point of view, one person deserves a mention. Mike went out of his way to collect me from the airport, thanks Mike.
One thing we all agreed on was that nobody was anything like any one else expected them to be. Apparently, I am smaller than you would think and have a soft Irish accent that everyone could understand, except for Mr. Wallis of course, who had no idea who I was (after I introduced myself) and thought I had come on a bike (with Mike). Brian is bigger than you would expect and bears a resemblance to Trigger from only fools and horses. Mike has an uncanny knack for collecting freebies, two bags full!! Steve Lacey demonstrated a talent for p**s taking which had to be seen to be believed. Murdo didnÂ’t look like a man from the wilds of Scotland, quite normal really, who talks the same speed as he types. Garry Lovett, is just a nice man, a very nice man.
Also a big “thank you” to James and Caroline for their hospitality.
Al that remains to be said is, thanks to all for a great weekend.
