Just want to let you all know that both Louise and I completed the Great North Run on Sunday. We were blessed with some excellent weather (a touch too hot perhaps), a fantastic crowd of spectators and 47,000 other runners who were also raising lots of money for good causes.We both did much better than we expected and found that the extra training this year made it all the more bearable. This resulted in me getting below the 2 hour mark with an actual time of 1 hour 56 minutes 33 seconds (offical time will be slower due to the fact it took us ten minutes to get to the start line!)
All in all a very successful day, made even better knowing that we have raised in excess of £300 for the 'Chrisities against Cancer' appeal.
