I think Dave is right. I subscribed in 2001 for a single doccument. It was 100 pages of scan tool procedures for a VW TDI. It cost £13. At the beginning of 2002 they charged my card again (without me re-submitting any details). I think it's in the small print that they can do this. So I thought I would cancel it in 2003 only to find I hadn't given them enough notice. (More small print) and yet another £13!)

Having said that, the info was quite good. It told you how to check all the various components and what you should be seeing on the scan tool for MAF/MAP/injected quantities and temps etc but didn't contain any login codes to make any adaptions. The American Bentley manuals seem to have more of that sort of info but they can only be bought as a complete manual for the whole car as far as I know.
