Hi Paul, I have lost faith in insurance companys aswell. I had a £3500.00 road risks claim a few year ago and they have been shafting me ever since. It's as if they just lend you the money to get it fixed then take it all back of you! I think you would have to make a huge (garage burnt to the ground) claim before it would feel like you've got something out of them! But none of us wants to go through that nightmare! I was told my claim would'nt make a difference to the premium after two or three years but it's still going up at an alarming rate. As already said I would check with your insurace company and see what implications the claim might make. Another option is to keep an eye on the workshop trader because they do come up for sale now and again. Cheers John
