Thanks for the replies.The vehicle I am trying to repair is a 1995 Rover 620i fitted with the Honda power unit with an intermittent fault on the Crankshaft position sensor.When faulty it causes extended cranking,especially from cold so perhaps the engine management is using the Camshaft sensor Code 8 is generated and sensor resistance is out of spec when cold.Dealer says all or nothing with distibutor at £376 plus VAT.Ignition module is only part available separately,as Tony suggested.Thanks to Ray for reassurance that he has dealt with the company,with all the bad press about credit card fraud at the moment I was just being cautious.Thanks again John.
