    Most people can sit an MOT testing course and carry out testing (As per above) Not everyone can repair the faults found on the vehicle that has failed. That is where I believe the above system may fail.

    It's probably similar to the HGV testing stations where they have blokes who are very strict and rightly so. But could these blokes repair the faults they are so keen to find....Possibly not.

    So in short you could have as many multi lane testing stations with as many blokes as you like testing. But if they fail especially on emission related problems will they have the nonce to repair the vehicle?

    The test fee should be set for all. You can't go into the post office and barter for your road tax can you?

    As John has said all the public want is a fair deal. I'm sure they get it from most of us.
