Franks 'charm' worked on you then ?? He's an excellent salesman as well as being a guru in his field
Just a note to bear in mind. I have heard from more than one source that the 196 series has a lot of bugs. I know you can update it etc, but I have heard of customers even wanting to return them due to the constant software lockups and glitches.
Just worth a kick around the net before you write to Santa mate.
I will try and remember where I read all this and post it.

PS: I recently bought the Pico and also have a PMS100. The PMS is the first tool out for normal testing due to portability/speed. The Pico comes out for ignition ( which the PMS struggles with on waveform detail ) tricky jobs and jobs where a big history of waveforms will be handy. I think they are both excellent tools for different reasons. Remember the Pico is a scope, not a multi meter so no Ohms on this ( Yet ? ).
