I read this over the holidays and I thought of you all. A hotel room has a single light in it.Outside the room, there are three light switches. The door is closed and you have been told correctly that the light inside is off, though you cannot see that from outside the room. Assuming that the bulb and electrics all work fine, you can flick any of the switches any number of times, and you can only open the door and go in once: How can you determine which light switch operates the light inside the room ? (answer to follow soon)
