Hello allFor those that are not already aware, Ford have slashed their discount rates across the board. (Anyone doubting the scale of these cuts should check how much more they are paying (trade price - retail prices are unchanged) for the same parts now than before January 4th.
How do members feel this will affect them and the trade as whole? As far as I can see other manufacturers will follow suit after a while.
Even just limited to Ford I see this being the final straw for many of those independent garages that are already sailing quite close to the wind (and lets face it - many are!). Bodyshops will probably be hit even harder and should check carefully that they are not selling parts under cost after giving away all those parts and bottom line discounts to insurance and fleet companies!!!!
