have seen lots of lpg converted vehicles for running problems and over the years I have had several with clearance problems and ascociated bad running.

Various fords including a fiesta zetec with oiler kit added.

Cannot be sure it always had additive of course.

With lpg of course nobody converts unless they are doing the miles. Typically at speed and motorway work so it creates perfect conditions for valve seat wear.

I also find the chancellors veiw that lpg doesn't show an appreciable emmission saving over 04 emmission level cars as strange as most lpg vehicles are older 4 wheel drives.

Still its his excuse for upping the duty. What more can we expect other than spin (lies).

When I read how much building and how many cars are being sold in china. How they will be using as much oil as america in 4 years and how there will be a steel shortage due to their use.

I wonder why we worry about the small affect we will have in this country. We might aswell abandon all emmission control.

After all when we switched aircon gas to r134 apparently ICI sold the r12 plant to India.

Never mind the shareholders where pleased I dare say.

Those no doubt will be the same ones closing production here and exporting the jobs elsewhere only to increase world pollution greatly.
