    Hi Dave

We don't stand a chance of raising our image when you get the likes of Eastenders this week. Gary has taken on someone at the Arches who does not have a clue, and manages to fix a punters car by cleaning the plugs, which according to the punter now runs better than ever. If a half wit can do it, how do we stand a chance of convincing school leaves that this is a skilled industry

Perhaps one of the Motor Trade bodies should step in and advice the producer, or perhaps Unipart should remove their boxes from the shelves, customers may associate their products with under the arches type outfits that only employ losers

Perhaps if they could send Gary on a Bosch training course and put some diagnostic kit around the set, instead of adjustable spanners that look more suitable for the engine room on the Titanic

    Peter

PS: How the hell does Kevin manage to pay the wages for 3 mechanics in Coronation Street (can't call them Techs) when the workshop only has space for one vehicle, and the rest are always worked on in the street, what happends when it rains?

I never watch the soaps, my wife tells me
