hi peter
yes ive been turning cars under warranty down a few months ago.but now each manufacturer has to stipulate there stance on the issue.i recieved a letter from the oft who recently probed this issue and found severe restrictions to what choice the consumer has.
but no where can you find a list of each manufacturers answer to the exemption law that is now here,so for us we are restricted of info which would allow us to give proper advise to the many customers who ring us for service prices whilst under new car warranty.
dont know about you but a feel that a list of manufacturers conditions to car service should already be with us from the trade associations that we subscribe to,as at the moment you cant give good garage advise for lack of info/restriction to the independent garages.
yet again we continue to thrive in difficult circumstances!
