Hi Derek Perhaps Frank has a point, how many engines that you service actually need a flush, do we just run a flush through to make the new oil look cleaner to the customer!!. Forte's line is that it's a nice little earner if you use it before every oil change, but is it necessary. A more customer friendly approach would be to advise your customers to have regular oil changes with a high quality oil What's happened to the old style engine flushes it was only a few years ago that Unipart jumped onto the additives band wagon, before if i asked for an engine flush, they sent me up a 4 litre can of flushing oil Perhaps if you do have to use one of the modern day flushes, best to use one that uses a detergent base cleaning method, rather than the ones that have a solvent base for quick results Peter
