Just thought this might make someone feel better.
Day starts with a 98 406 that I had decided yesterday that we have no supply to the heater motor speed controller but know sweat, I have a dim recollection of a relay melting it's socket and even if I'm wrong I have Both Haynes manuals and autodatas wiring diagram 4 as well as components 3 + 4. Well next someone abondons a 87 V12 xjs NON-runner before I can tell them not to. Next the seat alhambara turns up that I looked at last week, Cdl control rattling due to a flooting Pd on an Ignition aux supply. As well as a couple of people who think I am sat there waiting for them to phone. So to the 406. Yes! you guessed it no Info I have ressembles this car. So that got put to 1 side after 2 hours wasting my time. Next the Seat. Three hours checking clock back light and glovebox light, both flash in time with the CDL rattle, Glovebox wiring back to fuse box and next the fuse box it's self to find that it is in the harness from the fuse box to the roof light, the confusion bieng caused by someone in the past replacing an obviously very melted roof harness but only up to the bottom of the a pillar... And the autodata wiring diagram 4 .. again... and a Haynes Manual I bought Especially to cover 95-2000 only having the later 98 wiring diagrams. Then to the Jag. All I did was open the bonnet, see it obviously had not run for a long time, then I shut it and went home.
