Interesting comments from you both, Peter Warman was complaining of exactly the same problem with the changes to Partco recently, so much so that he is now using us a lot more now.
I have seen a lot of our competitors doing this as well, i.e. keeping prices down by going for cheap product.
We have been very concious of this & have maintained both a top quality brand policy as well as being able to offer a short range of our own brand product. Customer will always be offered top brand product first, but the own brand if he wants a 'cheapie'.
It would be interesting if you were able to name names as to who your current front line supplier is!
