I am curious to know what other peoples attitude to mark up on parts is?
Do you *always* charge the RRP or do you use discression (god my spelling!) IE RRP on some things and some other figure on others.
EG RRP on some componants such as brakes, EMS componants etc mark up may represent arround 20-30% of the total charged which is reasonable, after all, we all make our livings by selling goods and services for more than it costs us to provide them, on some others like exhaust systems it may be as high as 60% (reflecting the fact that exhausts are frequently "Fitted Free" I dont fit free so I charge a smaller mark up)
Similarly I may charge a smaller mark up (in percentage terms) for an expensive item such as an ECU than I might for a rotor arm or a set of spark plugs.
