Hi Peter, The orange plastic sacks I have to buy are from the local council office and are meant to be used by all businesses. They are for trade waste and we get 2 collections a week from the councils refuse collectors when they are emptying residents wheely bins. They go into the same lorry, therefore mixed with domestic waste, and then get taken to the same place I used to do my monthly bucket run to. Where is the logic in that ????? Only difference is the council make £1.00 for every bag I have to buy from them. It seems there are more and more hoops we are needing to jump through in order to keep our businesses legal, as some overpaid twat thinks of more rediculous regulations. All of this obviously costing us ££££££££££. If things keep going, we could find ourselves in a situation where it is not going to be profitable to carry out certain services due to costs involved. The customer is picking up these costs just now without much problem, but eventually they will start to complain, and our business will suffer. As an example, Winter service on diesel car, drain and add antifreeze, fit 4 new tyres. I would have to charge,Tyre disposal @ £1.00 x4. Oil disposal @£3.00, Oil filter @ £1.00, Fuel filter @ £1.00, Waste coolant @ £2.00. Total extra charge to customer for above is £11.00 + Vat on top of normal servise costs. Where is it going to stop??? Gordon
