Yes this is a shame. Any future schemes, or any attempt by a motor trade body to create a recognized scheme has now been completely buried, no one including myself will have faith in anything that is proposed. The only way forward now is for the OFT/government to license techs/garages, nothing less will do in the eyes of the motoring public. It just goes to show that any business that tries to self govern, does not work. The motor trade is so vast and diverse, it will take a bottomless pit of money and thousands of staff to police......the real problem is, no one wants to pick up the tab
