Hi Phil Don't get me started I have now got shot of this customer, but he came in about 2 months ago because his front pads were on the metal, also wanted an MOT. So booked an MOT and pads to be replaced......he did not turn up Next month he turns up again because he has a noise from the back now, so i have a look and its the metal wear indicator touching the rear discs, so told him you need rear pads this time....thanks for the advice and drives off....no apology for not turning up the last time for his MOT Last week he turns up again clutching a headlamp bulb he has just bought from Halfords, asks if i can fit it. I asked if he had his rear pads done as there was now no noise. He says his brother said it was brake dust and he had cleaned it off and they are now ok. So i had a quick look through the alloys and could see new pads fitted. His explanation was that his brother must have fitted them without his knowledge Now how do you deal with customers like that?. I remained professional, although i think the headlamp bulb may be causing a bit of discomfort, so i don't think he will not be coming back So for having hidden cameras in workshops trying to catch out techs to make trash TV programs, why don't that put cameras in receptions to catch the scams that customers get up to get FREE expert advice. I must e-mail the RMI to see if they have a form to fill out when we wish to make a complaint against a customer Instead of "Garages From HELL"....how about "Customers from HELL". Peter PS: All my regular customers are excellent
