Hi all,
Some of these points have already been covered, but basically:-
Bosch Car Service (BCS) is the new brand image for Bosch Garage Service agents. It is an invite only scheme, if your garage/attitude/turnover/location etc fits the bill & your factor/distributor pushes you forward then an invite/presentation onto the scheme would be arranged. The previous 'Injection Specialists', ABS Specialists & Motorplus schemes have been withdrawn. Motorplus especially had been 'sold' to just about everyone, so what's the point of an exclusive club if everybody's in it? BCS Garages are required to meet minimum standards on service/premesis/diagnostics etc. There is a minimum requirement on your spend per annum, to 'encourage' you to spend on Bosch parts rather than others. You are required to already own or buy a KTS520/550/650 within one year of becoming a BCS.
This is now a global scheme, with the roll out in Germany a couple of years ago & now around the world, in exactly the same image.
Further details can be found on the site Kelly posted earlier.
As with all 'soft franchises' it doesn't suit everyone & not everyone fits the criteria. But there is obviously a market for it.
We currently have quite a few BCS sites already & they appear to be going OK.
