From a purely personal point of view, I'm not a great fan of any of the 'soft franchise' ideas. As Peter said, the clutter of manufacturer's sign on your front wall ends up an eyesore, it's far better to project your own image, or maybe just one image from a supplier. The Bosch image is good though, the sites that we have with signage really look good, main dealeresque if you like. Obviously if you can project that 'main dealer' image on your own, then that's great, but some garages really do benefit from the scheme. As I said previously, it's not for every garage & not every garage suits the scheme. We have also found the UK Garage Alliance to be quite successful, as this has more flexibility to either take up the corporate UKGA image, or to keep that in the background & project your own image. Again it suits some but not all. As I understand it, the roll out program for the Bosch Car Service is still on going, once they have a sensible sized network, covering the majority of the country, then the advertising will come in. I suppose there's no point advertising something that most of the country can't access!! Regards Rob.
